SUMMARY:Wigan Development Distance Meet - Level 4
DESCRIPTION:The Wigan Distance Meet will take place on the Morning of Sunday 5th January 2025 at the Wigan Life Centre. \nAs this Meet is Licenced the main aim of it is to give swimmers the opportunity to post an official time on the National swim rankings for events they may have not competed in before or not for a long time and a last chance to get County times. The events are open to any registered Club Compete swimmer who is a member of one the Wigan Borough Community Swimming Clubs and aged 9 or over on Sunday 5th January 2025. \nThe events included:\n200m Freestyle\n400m Freestyle\n800m Freestyle\n1500m Freestyle\n200m Breaststroke\n200m Butterfly\n200m Backstroke\n200m Individual medley\n400m Individual medley \nIf the Meet is over subscribed the faster swimmers in each age group will be rejected first to allow swimmers who do not have times to achieve them. \nBelow you will find the schedule of events for the Morning! Please read them carefully and make sure not to over enter swimmers into too many events. \nClub members who also swim with Wigan BEST are asked to enter this Meet through Wigan Swimming Club! IT IS ADVISED THAT YOU SPEAK TO YOUR SQUAD COACH BEFORE SUBMITTING ENTIRES! \nThis system is for Wigan Swimming Club members only! \nEntries cost £5 per event and entries will close at MIDNIGHT on Wednesday 18th December 2024!!!

SUMMARY:Wigan Development Gala Meet
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 5th January 2025 the Wigan Development Meet returns to the Wigan Life Centre. \nThe Development Meet will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 5th January 2025. This gala is NOT a licensed gala and times will not go on the National rankings. \nHowever it is an ideal gala for any of our swimmers who:\n1. Have never competed in a gala before.\n2. Have competed at level 3 or level 4 galas.\n3. Have NOT achieved a County or Regional consideration time. \nThis meet (gala) is open to swimmers who will be aged between 8-11 on the 5th January 2025. \nSWIMMERS ENTERED INTO THE WIGAN DEVELOPMENT MEET MUST NOT HAVE ACHIEVED ANY COUNTY\, REGIONAL OR NATIONAL CONSIDERATION TIMES IN THE PAST OR FOR UPCOMING EVENTS AND MUST BE PART OF A WIGAN BOROUGH COMMUNITY SWIMMING CLUB. \nWHEN ENTERING INTO AN EVENT PLEASE MAKE SURE A ENTRY TIME IS SUBMITTED. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A TIME PLEASE ASK ONE OF THE COACHES WHO WILL BE ABLE TO HELP.
