We are now happy to announce the next gala we will look to attend as a club! We are happy to say that after a year absence from our gala calendar we will return to the Sheffield March Madness gala that takes place on Sunday 1st March 2026 at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
This gala will give our swimmers the opportunity to swim at one of the top international pools in Europe, gain valuable experience racing in a 50m pool and will also give the swimmers new experiences of racing against swimmer’s they normally would not.
To take part in this gala a swimmer has to be 9 years old or over at Midnight on the 1st March 2026. Whatever age the swimmer is at Midnight on the 1st March 2026 is the age they will race as. The age groups for this gala are 9/10/11/12/13+14/ and 15/over.
Below you will find attachments including the terms and conditions, the programme for this gala, the consideration times and general Info regarding the day of the gala. Please read all of these VERY CAREFULLY.
When entering this gala please make sure to enter a time for each event. If the swimmer does not have an official time you can use time trial times or ask one of the coaches at training for a time. Please beware if this gala is over subscribed swimmers with estimated times or unofficial times will likely be rejected first.
Also when looking at the consideration times please beware that swimmers CAN NOT HAVE SWAM FASTER THAN THE QUALIFYING TIMES.
Entries for this gala are now open and will close at 12 Noon on Friday 2nd January 2026. The reason for this is that the gala organiser has made it a first come first served gala and by having the entries complete I will be able to send them across as soon as entries open. By doing this we will hopefully find out soon after if we have been accepted and can push forward with our planning.

If you are planning to stay over in Sheffield on the Saturday night we would suggest not booking a room until we know that our swimmers have been accepted or book a room that is fully refundable just incase we have entries that get rejected!!!
