2026 RENEWALS

FAILURE TO RENEW WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING UNABLE TO COMPETE.  RENEW NOW BEFORE THE DEADLINE OF 23RD JAN 2026

THERE IS A LARGE NUMBER OF MEMBERS WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED THERE RENEWAL
The club’s membership period runs for 12 month starting on 1st January and ending on the 31st December, this also inline with Swim England’s membership period.

The 2026 period is now open and over the next week existing members will be invited to re-registrar.

As detailed in the email prior to Christmas, the 2026 period for a full membership is set at £576.00 for the year or split equally into (12 equally into payments of £48.00 per month) plus a one off Swim England Fee of £47.35, based on competitive member with access to training session 3 times per week.

Invitations have been sent by our automated renewal system via an email from  membership@wiganswimmingclub.org.uk in batches starting with our members who pay monthly. This email will have information and links on how to renew, make a payment and setup your payment subscriptions, please note this is based on information collected previously , so if your details have changed since then please contact membership@wiganswimmingclub.org.uk to update them.

Please also note regardless of when you renew your membership, if you are paying monthly by subscription, payments will be taken on or as soon after the 1st of the month.

Should you wish cancel you membership part way through the year you must give 1 months’ notice.

Payment is taken via Opayo and subscriptions are setup using “Continuous Authority”, if payment fails you will be emailed to make a payment and update your subscription.

From time to time our emails have ended up peoples JUNK or SPAM mail box, please check carefully.

As soon as you receive you membership renewal please can you action it asap, the club is run by volunteers with limited time. Deadline for renewals is the Monday 19th January after which any member who does not have an active membership will not be allowed to swim.
FAQ
Q: Why are Swim England fees being collected?
A: All individuals become a club member of Swim England through a swimming club. The club applies on your behalf. There are 3 categories Club train, Club Compete & Club Support. In addition to the fees are region & county fees which take the total for a club compete swimmer to £47.35

Q: Can I pay standing order / bank transfer / cash?
A: No, all membership payment must come via the system as this is easiest and most cost effective way to track membership fees for the club.

Q: We have two swimmers in our household will we have 1 or 2 subscriptions?
A: Each swimmer will have a membership with an associated subscription, two memberships would equal two subscriptions and two payments being taken per month. There is a discount for the second or third child swimmer in the same household with discount applied to the lowest cost monthly subscription.

Q: Can I change my payment date from the 1st of the month?
A: The system is setup to take payments on the first of the month or as soon as possible after that date, this cannot be changed.

Q: I need to change my membership type?
A: Please contact membership, who can change the type for you, you may not need to renew.

Q: I do not want to renew, what’s the process?
