Over the last month I have been searching and enquiring about what galas will be taking place during the 2nd half of 2023. I am now in a position to be able to give you a good idea of the galas we will be attending over the next 6 months.
It is important to point out that swimmers are NOT required to attend all galas and you can ask a coach which galas they believe will be best for your swimmer!!!!!!
Please bear in mind that this list could change and I ask that you keep checking the club notice board at the pool as well as all of our social media platforms for any updates or changes.
Below you will find a list of internal and external galas that we are aiming to attend with a brief description of each gala.
Club Time Trials.
Sunday 17th September 2023.
Wigan Life Centre
A great chance for our swimmers to prepare for the new season of galas and it is also a very important tool for our coaches as they get to see how our swimmers are progressing. We hope to see as many of our club members there as possible!!!

BCM Autumn Meet 2023.
Saturday + Sunday 7th and 8th October 2023
Wigan Life Centre
A level 3 gala held at our home pool and is good for all swimmers who will be 9 and over on Sunday 8th October 2023.

Burnley Monster Splash 2023
Saturday + Sunday 28th and 29th October 2023
Darwen Leisure Centre
This is a brand new level 3 gala to the North West and with the plans Burnley have it sounds like its going to be a lot of fun as well!

Blackpool Lights 2023
Saturday + Sunday 18th and 19th November 2023
Palatine Leisure Centre, Blackpool
A level 3 gala for swimmers aged 9 and over as of Sunday 19th November 2023.

SnowPen Manchester (25m pool)
Saturday + Sunday 16th and 17th December
Manchester Aquatics Centre
Manchester have now confirmed that this gala will take place in a 25m pool and not the 50m which was first thought. This gala was always very popular before the pool closed for a major refurbishment.
