Wigan SC is once again looking for volunteers to help out with galas at Wigan pool!
You may or may not know that the pool has recently had a brand new timing system fitted with new equipment.
As such this presents an opportunity for new volunteers to come in and help the club run the very much needed galas!
If you are alright (not even good haha) with computers and your child attends or will be attending most galas moving forward we really could use your help!
As many will know galas can be very long days sat in the stands and many volunteers decided to help out to get away from the stickiness of the viewing gallery.
This opportunity would be to learn how to run the timing system at the pool when galas take place. This is a vital part of a gala and without people knowing what to do, we will not be able to run the gala’s.
We already have one volunteer come forward but we really could do with at least two more.
We currently run two big galas plus 4 time trials a year which isn’t much and with a number of volunteers this can be spread out very easily!
There will be a training morning on Sunday 7th April between 9am and 12 noon at the Wigan Life Centre.
