This Sunday 5th January 2025 both the Wigan Development group Distance and Development Galas take place at the Wigan Life Centre.
The organisers have indicated that there will be 2 warmups for the Wigan Distance Meet!
The first warmup will run between 08.30 and 09.00am. This is for swimmers taking part in the 800 and 1500m Freestyle only!
The second warmup will run between 10.30 and 10.50am and this is for all remaining swimmers taking part in the Distance gala (events 103 to 116)
In the afternoon we move on to the Development Gala! (25m and 50m events)
There will only be one warmup for this gala and it will start at 1pm and this will be for ALL swimmers.
Racing is due to begin just after 1.30pm.
These are still approximate times so please keep an eye on social media and the club website in case there are any last minute changes!!!!
As always we ask that if possible our swimmers wear club hats (if worn) and club t-shirts whilst on poolside.
Please make sure swimmers are on poolside at least 15 mins before their warmup time so they are ready when warm up begins.
As always we suggest that a couple of towels are brought, as well as appropriate footwear, snacks/lunch for throughout the afternoon and please make sure your swimmer has plenty of fluids to drink.
