Wigan Swimming Club is a community based club accredited by the ASA and training at the at the Wigan Life Centre. Our aim is to develop swimmers to achieve their goals, whether that be local competitive events or the Olympics. The club strives to develop each swimmer individually to their full potential. The Club competes at team events throughout the Northwest, which promotes long lasting friendships within the Club, the sport and beyond.

Becoming a Member
Do you have aspirations in swimming? Have you completed Stage 6 upwards of the ASA’s National Plan for Teaching Swimming? Are you able to swim 50m of Frontcrawl, Backstroke and Breaststroke holding good technique and have an understanding of Butterfly?
Training & Groups
The club has 8 groups to cater for all abilities of swimmers from just progressing from learn to swim, all the way up to masters.
