Unfortunately this years Warburtons Age Group Meet has been cancelled due to emergency repairs of the Fit City Broughton Pool being carried out.
If you have entered and paid please see Ruth who will be returning payments over the next week.
I understand this news may be a disappointment to some swimmers but please remember to get your entries in for the Wigan Starter Meet this week and keep checking the website for any new Gala information.

Dear All Swimmers, Parents, Club and Friends,
Cancellation of the Championships and Warburton Age Groups 2014
It is with regret we write to inform you this years’ Central Lancashire Warburton Age Groups and Championships has had to be cancelled.
We were very recently informed that Fit City Broughton Pool was to undergo emergency repairs that have impacted on the competition and we were also informed that the work would be completed by 14th April.
Since then, we have received updated information that the pool will not re-open at the earliest 23rd April and then work could over run (it usually does).
Since we have received this additional information we have acted fast to try and source another venues in the area to host our event, but this has been without success.
Looking at the Licensing Calendar for the rest of the period up until the Summer (July 2014) there are many events being held in the North West Region and it is unlikely that we would be authorised a License to run the competition.
With all the above in mind, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2014 Competition.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support in attending our meets. We pride our Association upon its reputation in the swimming community and beyond and hope you recognise the amount of work that has gone on “behind the scenes” to try and keep this meet running.
We understand that this will affect your swimmers and we empathise with your position as we at Central Lancashire pride ourselves on offering quality competition and we feel that our reputation is at stake.
We hope you can work with us to continue to deliver our well attended and well praised competitions throughout 2014 and beyond.
