On Sunday 5th January 2020 both the Wigan Development Distance Meet and Wigan Development Meet return to the Wigan Life Centre.
The Distance Meet will take place on the morning of Sunday 5th January 2020 and the aim of this meet is to give swimmers the opportunity to post official a time on the national swimming rankings for events they may have not competed in before. The events are open to any swimmer who is a member of one the Wigan Community Swimming Clubs, the events included; 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m Freestyle, 200m breaststroke, 200m butterfly, 200m backstroke, and 400m Individual medley.
The Development Meet will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 5th January 2020. This is an ideal gala for any of our swimmers who:
1. Have never competed in competition before,
2. Have competed in other low level meets.
3. Have not achieved a county time.
This meet is open to swimmers in the following categories: –
8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years as at 5th January 2020
SWIMMERS ENTERED INTO THE WIGAN DEVELOPMENT MEET MUST NOT HAVE ACHIEVED ANY COUNTY, REGIONAL OR NATIONAL QUALIFYING TIMES AND MUST BE PART OF A WIGAN COMMUNITY SWIMMING CLUB.

THE CLOSING DATE FOR BOTH OF THESE EVENTS IS SUNDAY 15TH DECEMBER 2019.
