The BCM gala takes place this weekend (3rd and 4th Oct) at the Wigan Life Centre.

THERE WILL BE NO TRAINING ON SUNDAY DUE TO THIS!

I have attached the Warmup times for this weekend to this post please make sure to read them and have swimmers poolside at 15 mins before the warmup begins.

As always please make sure swimmers have:

  • Two towels
  • Club T shirt and hat (if worn)
  • Appropriate footwear for around poolside and moving around the building
  • Drinks to stay hydrated
  • Food and snacks for the day

Spectators & swimmers
Spectator entry fees (£5 for the day or £3 for one session) can be paid by cash or by card.
Camping chairs are not allowed in the building on poolside or upstairs.
Swimmers will be able to go onto poolside around 7.45am. This is also when spectators will be able to make their way upstairs.
We will have medal engraving upstairs as well as some shops to purchase things from.
Officials
Alex & Elaine have been in touch regarding officials and Sunday afternoon is the session on which we are shortest, if anyone else is available to help.
Volunteers
Please can all clubs ask their swimmers’ parents for volunteers – we need helpers for a variety of jobs including
– announcing on Sunday
– marshalling on Sunday morning
– the door for spectators – one more helper for Saturday afternoon
– assisting with admin on the timing desk (paperwork etc) for all sessions

We offer travel expenses for all volunteers and officials @ 55p per mile. Lunch will be provided for all technical officials.
Also as a reminder camp chairs or anything similar are not allowed in any area of the Life Centre.
