At the Wigan Swimming Club AGM held in September 2022, the committee discussed membership fees for 2023 and the annual increases in pool costs at the Wigan Life Centre.

Wigan SC membership traditionally runs for a 12 month agreement from October to September each year which is not in line with the review of pool fees, they are usually indicated in December each year. To ensure financial planning is more accurate, the committee have decided to change the membership period from January to December in line with the calendar year.

We expect significant increases in pool costs in 2023 due to current energy pricing however the Club has made the decision to only increase membership fees by a minimal amount (see below) instead opting to focus on fundraising and gala income to support the club during the next financial year.

Swimmers at Wigan receive excellent facilities, coaching and pool time for their membership, which maintains us as one of the leading development clubs in the North West – we hope as members and parents you will acknowledge this and continue to support the club through our events and activities in 2023.

All club memberships have now changed to the new period, from the 1st January to 31st December in line with the calendar year and Swim England (ASA) fees.
