Below you will find all the information for the Percy Mason Gala which is held over the weekend of the 30th November and 1st December.
We will also be attending the SnowPen Gala at Manchester Aquatics centre the weekend after which is a long course gala(50m pool). Once we have the Gala information for SnowPen we will place a post on the website.
It has been decided that swimmers will only be able to enter one of these Galas to make sure swimmers are not over competing.
If you are unsure as to which Gala would be best please ask Michelle or one of the coaches or email meets@wiganswimmingclub.org.uk.
The Percy Mason Gala will take place at Orford Jubilee, Warrington on Saturday 30th November afternoon/evening, and all day Sunday 1st December. Session times can be found on the “Programme of Events” attachment below.
This gala is suitable for swimmers aged 9 years and over who are NOT FASTER than the upper time limits. The upper time limits can be found on the “Qualifying Times” attachment below. Medals will be awarded to the top 6 swimmers in each age group in each event.
Below you will find the attachments for the Gala. These include the entry form, programme of events, qualifying times, and terms and conditions. Please make sure you read all of these and if you are not sure on anything then please email the meets@ email that is provided above in this post.
As the Entries are on a ‘first come, first served’ basis we want to get the entries in early to try and avoid disappointment. Therefore the closing date for this Gala is TUESDAY 1ST OCTOBER. This is a very short window and gives you two weeks to get entries in. PLEASE be aware NO ENTRIES will be accepted after this date.
As always you can hand your entries to Michelle or Lee and Leigh Cutter or you can email it across to us at meets@wiganswimmingclub.org.uk. Just like any other gala you can pay by cash, cheque, or by BACS. Please write on the entry form how you intend to pay. If paying online please reference your payment with the swimmers surname and PMGala on the end e.g. SmithPMGala. If paying by cash or cheque please place them in a sealed envelope with the swimmer’s name on it. Entries will not be processed until payment is verified.
Lee and Leigh will now be at the Wigan Life Centre on a Monday between 6-7pm, Friday between 7.30-8.15, and Sunday between 12-1pm. If you don’t know who we are just have a look at the picture at the bottom of this post. Please come and say hello and ask any questions regarding the upcoming galas.
