Welcome back as we look to start another year of swimming, I hope everyone has had a good summer. Now everyone is back into there routines we can get down to some serious swimming. Lots of competitions coming up over the next few months.
Firstly I would like to offer very warm welcome back to Elizabeth Jones, who I suspect is finding it much colder back in the UK. For those of you that don’t know Elizabeth was the Head Coach of the club for many years before moving to a warmer climate. Elizabeth will be rejoining the coaching team during our Monday and Sunday sessions.
A reminder to all that the clubs membership year is due to end on the 30th September and all members must re-sign up to the club from the 1st October. More information about this will be posted shortly once this years fees have been set.
Could I ask that all swimmers are ready on the poolside 5 minutes before there session is due to start to allow time for caps, goggles, lanes movements etc to be done without affecting the session. Swimmer arriving late disturb the session and may not complete a full warm-up, it is at the coaches discretion if swimmer can join a session late and not a given.
The club is attending 4 competitions between now and Christmas.
Greater Manchester Autumn Meet
30th September & 1st October followed by Saturday 7th October – Wigan Life Centre
Entries have now closed, with other 40 swimmers taking part this should be brilliant meet once again.
Wigan BEST Future Stars Open Meet
17th, 18th & 19th November -Wigan Life Centre

Percy Mason Memorial Gala
2nd & 3rd December – Warrington , Orford Park

Snow’pen Sprint Meet
16th December – Manchester Aquatics Centre
One day sprint meet, shorten programme of short distance events, a last chance swim before Christmas. Information will be available shortly.
