On Sunday 19th May 2024 we will be running the Inaugural Wigan Summer Sizzler one day gala at the Wigan Life Centre!
We have plenty of plans already in place and are working on many more to make this brand new gala a great day for everyone involved!
The gala will have a great atmosphere with all races having live commentary and of course lots of fun through the day!
We have put plans in place to try and make this gala bank balance friendly as costs for everything at the moment seem to be getting higher and higher.
We have also put together an incentive that will also help visiting clubs generate funds for their club.
Once we have received a set number of individual entries for the entire gala then all visiting clubs will receive £1 back for each individual entry we receive from their club swimmers.
So there is a little look at some of the plans in place and as mentioned more will be revealed once finalised.
The gala itself will have the following events:
- All 50m races
- All 100m races including IM
- 200m free
Each race will cost £6 and as mentioned above hopefully some of that will be heading back to visiting clubs.
This gala will be using an individual online entry system!
*PLEASE make sure that times are entered for each entry so that we can keep an eye on timings for the gala! Please make sure you double check the times you enter!!!! An example of how to enter a time is below:
1 minute 22 seconds and 13 tenths and hundredths would be written like this 01:22.13!
