On Tuesday 14th July 2026 the Wigan Development Summer Mini Sprint Meet takes place at Hindley pool.
This gala is NOT a licensed gala and times will not go on the National rankings. However it is an ideal gala for any of our swimmers who:
1. Have never competed in a gala before.
2. Have competed in other lower level meets.
3. Have NOT achieved a County time or Regional time.
This meet is open to swimmers in the following categories: –
8 year olds, 9 year olds, and 10 year olds as of Tuesday 14th July 2026.
Medals will be awarded to the swimmers finishing in the top three places in each age group.
Each event (race) will cost £3 to enter!
SWIMMERS WHO ARE WANTING TO COMPETE IN THE WIGAN DEVELOPMENT SUMMER MINI SPRINT MEET MUST NOT HAVE ACHIEVED ANY COUNTY, REGIONAL OR NATIONAL QUALIFYING TIMES AND MUST BE PART OF A WIGAN COMMUNITY SWIMMING CLUB.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ENTER A TIME FOR EACH EVENT YOUR SWIMMER WILL TAKE PART IN. ANY ENTRIES WITH NO TIMES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
If your swimmer doesn’t have a time for an event, please as a coach for an estimated time.
