As I’m sure you are all aware the Wigan Life Centre pool has now confirmed that there will be pool closures which takes effect from 1st April. We have been waiting for confirmation from Andrew Hewitt the centre manager for some time, Andrew himself not being fully made aware of when the pool was to close up until within the last week or so. We have also been in discussions to make alternate arrangements, trying to source other venues and training times to allow us to provide some coverage of the set training groups we have at the club to allow our members to swim.
We have been assured that the pool repairs will not exceed 9 weeks, and we will resume our standard schedule on / around 3rd June. A schedule for the 9 weeks will be posted on this site, and Facebook. We will also endeavour to send home a slip with the interim times this week.
I can only apologise for the inconvenience and the lack of information, the committee have not been provided any real information to update you with.
