Open Water Swim Taster Info – Saturday 13th July

This coming Saturday 13th July will see the first of our three Open Water Taster sessions at Eccleston Delph in Chorley.

For those that have already signed up for this, you should already have your email with all the information for this coming Saturday, which will be repeated below:

– The session will run from 11am-12noon
– Swimmers who’re 12 years + MUST be accompained by an adult.
– Parents/Guardians MUST be visible at all times, otherwise the swimmer will be asked to leave the water.
– Full length wetsuits MUST be worn (not provided).

What you’ll need to bring with you on Saturday is as follows:

– Swimming Equipment:
-Wetsuit
-Swimming Costume
-1 or 2 hats (REALLY brightly coloured!)
-Goggles (and a spare pair)
-Registration form so you can swim in the Delph (attached to the last email)

The surface water temperature at the Delph is currently 17 degrees c, although this is a very deep quarry so in places it will be colder than this. More information about the Delph can be found on their website.
