Well it will have been a long 18 months for some of our swimmers with no Galas but tonight we get to bring you news of the first swim Meet we will be attending in the new swim season. Equally as exciting hopefully this will be the first swim Gala for many of our new swimmers to experience.
On Sunday 26th September Bolton Metro will be hosting a 1 day Comeback Meet at the Jason Kenny Centre in Bolton.
The gala will take place in a 25m pool and the events that will take place at the Gala are 50m all strokes, 100m all strokes and 200m freestyle and IM.
Please do not try to enter the relays these will be entered and decided by Michelle.
The age groups in this Gala are 9,10,11,12,13,14,15/over and age is as of Sunday 26th September 2021.
This Gala will be extremely popular as it will be one of the first to take place since lockdown lifting. As well as this the Gala has been made first come first served and therefore we have to move very quickly to make sure we get our club entries in to Bolton.
Below you will find an attachment that is titled programme of events and this will tell you the order that the events will run in on the day. An online entry system is being set up by the club and should be online in the next day or so. Instructions will be included with the link on how to enter.
We (Leigh and Lee) will be at Wigan Life Centre this Friday (30th July) from 8pm until 9pm and again this Sunday (1st August) between 12 noon and 1pm. We will be upstairs in the seating area and I will be wearing my Wigan Swimming club tshirt to make it easy to be spotted.

If you recently took part in the time trials you will be able to use these times to enter this gala. If you do not have times in certain events that you would like to take part in please speak to the coaches for further advice.
